Manager – Ecology & Biodiversity and Assistant Manager – Environment

Recruitment of dynamic professionals for critical roles in ecology, biodiversity, and environmental management under RITES Ltd., a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise.
Positions involve project-based deployment across India for transport, infrastructure, and related technology consultancy projects.
Opportunities to contribute to national-level environmental conservation, biodiversity assessment, and sustainable development initiatives.
Contract-based appointments with potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.
Selected candidates will be posted at various project sites and locations as per organizational needs.

For Manager – Ecology & Biodiversity: Master's degree in Life Sciences (Zoology, Botany, Forestry, Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent).
Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in Ecology & Biodiversity.
For Assistant Manager – Environment: Full-time Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or any engineering branch with Master's in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/Environmental Management/Planning/Sustainability (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in Environment.
General/EWS candidates must have first-class degree or minimum 60% marks in qualifying degree for unreserved posts.
Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD) must have at least 50% marks in qualifying degree for reserved posts.
Degrees must be recognized by AICTE or equivalent statutory bodies in India.
Experience must be calculated as of 16.08.2026.
Age limit: Maximum 40 years as of 16.08.2026.

Selection involves a two-stage process: Written Test (60% weightage) and Interview (40% weightage).
Written Test: 125 objective-type questions (2.5 hours duration), no negative marking. Minimum 50% marks required for UR/EWS (45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD) to qualify for interview.
Interview: Candidates shortlisted based on written test performance (ratio 1:6 to vacancies). Minimum 60% marks required for UR/EWS (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD) in interview for final selection.
Weightage distribution: Written Test (60%) – Technical & Professional Proficiency (30%), Personality & Communication (10%).
Medical fitness verification required for final appointment as per RITES standards.
Candidates can opt for interview in Hindi or English.
Final selection based on overall merit order from combined written test and interview scores.

Open to all categories (UR, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwBD) with applicable reservations and relaxations as per government norms.

High School certificate for proof of Date of Birth.
Academic & professional qualification certificates and mark sheets (Xth, XIIth, Diploma/Graduation/Post-Graduation as applicable).
Percentage conversion document (if applicable) issued by university/institute.
EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
Proof of Identity & Address (Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, etc.).
PAN Card.
Proof of experience (offer letter, joining order, relieving letter, service certificate, pay slips, etc.).
Recent passport-size color photograph (8 copies).
Any other document supporting claims made in the application.

SC/ST/PWD candidates will receive a refund of the application fee after participation in the written exam/interview (subject to document verification).
