DGM (Civil – Marine Structural Expert) Vacancy at RITES Limited

- RITES Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, invites applications for the position of DGM (Civil – Marine Structural Expert).
- The selected candidate will be posted anywhere in India or abroad as per the company’s requirements.
- The position involves expertise in the design and construction of marine structures such as breakwaters, revetments, shore protection works, dredging, reclamation, berths, jetties, and piling.

- Minimum Qualification: Full-time Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering AND Post-graduation in Marine Structures, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum Post-Qualification Experience: 11 years of experience, out of which 5 years must be in the design and construction of marine structures (e.g., breakwaters, revetments, shore protection, dredging, reclamation, berths, jetties, piling).
- Experience Definitions:
- For candidates from Central/State Government/PSUs/Autonomous Organizations: Must have worked for at least 2 years in the IDA/CDA pay scale of Rs. 60,000–1,80,000 or equivalent pay scale under the 7th CPC.
- For candidates from Private Sector or other organizations: Must have an annual CTC of at least 24.10 LPA on the last date of application submission.
- Academic Marks:
- UR/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates must have a first-class degree or minimum 60% marks in the minimum qualification.
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD candidates must have at least 50% marks in the minimum qualification.
- Degree Recognition: Degrees must be recognized by AICTE or equivalent, from a university incorporated by an Act of Central/State legislature or deemed as a university under UGC.
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 41 years as of 19.10.2026 (cut-off date).
- Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- J&K Domicile: 5 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years (in addition to SC/ST/OBC-NCL relaxations if applicable).
- Training/Internship: Periods of training (except on-the-job training), internship, teaching, academic, fellowship, or PhD research will not count towards experience. Apprenticeship training (as per The Apprenticeship Act 1961) will count towards experience.

- Document Scrutiny: All submitted documents will be scrutinized. Candidates must upload supporting documents substantiating their claims. Deficiencies in documents will be notified, and candidates must produce the required documents during document verification.
- Interview: The selection process will involve an interview with the following weightage distribution:
- Technical & Professional Proficiency: 65%
- Personality, Communication & Competency: 35%
- Minimum Marks: Candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in the interview (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD against reserved posts) to be considered for placement on the panel.
- Medical Examination: Appointment is subject to the candidate being medically fit as per RITES’ medical standards.
- Interview Language: Candidates can appear for the interview in either Hindi or English.

- Proof of each period of experience claimed in the Application Form (offer letter, joining order, relieving letter, service certificate, pay slips, etc.) in chronological order
- PwBD Certificate as per the latest format (if applicable)
- Any other document in support of candidature and claims submitted in the Online Application Form
