- Graduate Engineer Apprentice: Full-time 4-year engineering degree (60% aggregate) in Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Computer Science/IT, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering from an AICTE-approved college. Alternatively, passed Sections A & B of the Institution of Engineers (India) or Graduate Membership Examination of IETE.
- Diploma Engineer Apprentice: Full-time 3-year diploma (60% aggregate) in the same engineering branches as above from an AICTE-approved college.
- Candidates with 1+ year of post-qualification work/training experience or those who completed their degree/diploma more than 3 years ago are ineligible.
- Candidates who have completed or terminated an apprenticeship elsewhere are ineligible.
