IBPS Specialist Officer (Scale I) Recruitment 2026 - IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer & Other Posts

- Recruitment drive for 745 Specialist Officer (Scale I) positions across 11 public sector banks for FY 2027-28.
- Open to candidates with B.Tech/B.E, LLB, M.A, M.Sc, MBA/PGDM, or PG Diploma qualifications.
- Online applications accepted from 01 July 2026 to 26 July 2026 (extended deadline).
- Selection involves preliminary exam, main exam, and interview with provisional allotment in January 2027.
- Posts include IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer.

- Age limit: 20 to 30 years as on 01.07.2026 (relaxation for reserved categories: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years, Ex-Servicemen 5 years).
- IT Officer: 4-year B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science/IT/Electronics or related field, OR postgraduate in relevant field, OR graduate with DOEACC 'B' level.
- Agricultural Field Officer: 4-year degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/Veterinary Science/Dairy Science/Fishery Science or allied subjects.
- Rajbhasha Adhikari: Postgraduate degree in Hindi with English as a subject at graduation, OR PG in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects.
- Law Officer: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.
- HR/Personnel Officer: Graduate with 2-year full-time PG degree/diploma in Personnel Management/HR/Industrial Relations/Social Work/Labour Law.
- Marketing Officer: Graduate with 2-year full-time MBA/MMS/PGDBA/PGDM with specialization in Marketing.
- For non-IT Officer posts, candidates must have studied Computer/IT as a subject in high school/college or hold a relevant certificate/diploma/degree.

- Stage 1: Online Preliminary Examination (August 2026) – 100 questions, 125 marks, 80 minutes (cut-off required in each section).
- Stage 2: Online Main Examination (November 2026) – 150 objective + 1 descriptive question, 225 marks, 155 minutes (used for interview shortlisting).
- Stage 3: Common Interview (November/December 2026) – 100 marks, minimum 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) required.
- Final merit list based on Main Exam (80%) and Interview (20%) scores.
- Provisional allotment expected in January 2027.

All categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD) are eligible with applicable relaxations.

- Interview call letter and system-generated application printout.
- Proof of date of birth (SSC/SSLC certificate).
- Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, etc.).
- Educational mark sheets and certificates (10th, 12th, graduation, postgraduation as applicable).
- Category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) in prescribed formats.
- OBC candidates must submit Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on/after 01.04.2026.
- EWS candidates must submit Income & Asset Certificate valid for FY 2026-27.

- SC/ST/PwBD candidates: ₹175 (inclusive of GST).
- General/EWS/OBC candidates: ₹850 (inclusive of GST).
- Payment modes: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, Mobile Wallets, UPI.
- Bank transaction charges borne separately by the candidate.
