Indian Coast Guard Group ‘B’ Civilian Personnel Recruitment 2026

- The Indian Coast Guard is recruiting for the post of Foreman of Stores (General Central Service, Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) under Direct Recruitment.
- The recruitment drive is for 04 vacancies (02 UR, 01 ST, 01 EWS).
- The selected candidates will be posted in Karwar, Minicoy, Pipavav, and Bhubaneswar and may be liable to serve anywhere in India, including Andaman & Nicobar/Lakshadweep islands.
- The application process is offline only via ordinary post, with no online application option.

- Nationality: Eligible Indian citizens only.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, maximum 30 years as of 03 Nov 2026.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for ST candidates against reserved vacancies. Government servants may also avail relaxation as per Central Government orders.
- Qualification: One of the following combinations:
- Option 1: Master’s Degree in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Business Studies, or Public Administration from a recognized university/institute AND 1 year of experience in handling stores and accounts in a Central/State Government, Statutory, Autonomous Organization, Public Sector Undertaking, University, Bank, or private sector organization listed on the Stock Exchange of India.
- Option 2: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Business Studies, or Public Administration from a recognized university/institute OR a Diploma in Material Management, Warehousing Management, Purchasing, or Logistics/Public Procurement from a recognized university/institute AND 2 years of experience in handling stores and accounts in a relevant organization.
- Gender Eligibility: Both male and female candidates are eligible.

- Scrutiny of Applications: All applications will be scrutinized for eligibility and completeness. Shortlisted candidates will receive an admit card via post.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must undergo document verification on the day of the written examination. Original documents must be carried.
- Written Examination: A pen-paper-based test consisting of 80 objective-type questions (1 mark each, no negative marking). The exam will be bilingual (English/Hindi).
- Exam Pattern:
- Mathematics (Arithmetic): 15 questions (15 marks)
- Mental Ability/Reasoning: 15 questions (15 marks)
- General Awareness: 15 questions (15 marks)
- English: 15 questions (15 marks)
- Questions related to the profession: 20 questions (20 marks)
- Passing Marks: 40 marks for UR/EWS, 36 marks for ST candidates.
- Exam Duration: 1 hour.
- Exam Centers: New Mangalore and Bhubaneswar (may change due to administrative/technical reasons).
- Merit List: Prepared based on written exam marks and published on the official website.

- Self-attested photocopy of Aadhaar card.
- Self-attested photocopy of Matriculation/equivalent mark sheet and certificate.

- Latest Category Certificate (ST/EWS) for reserved category candidates (prescribed format).
- Experience Certificate as per eligibility criteria.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer for candidates currently serving in any government organization.
- Two recent passport-size color photographs.
- Separate blank envelope with a Rs. 50 postal stamp pasted on it, addressed to the candidate.
