Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) - Oral Cancer Screening Project

- Temporary project position under ICMR-NIHR, Jodhpur for optimizing oral cancer screening through capacity building of healthcare workers in Rajasthan.
- Focus on implementation research, training, and early detection programs for oral cancer and NCDs.
- Role involves data collection, analysis, report preparation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Position based in Jodhpur or any project-required location across India.
- Tenure initially for one year, extendable up to project completion (terminable at any time).

- Post Graduate Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or Population Sciences.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant subject OR PhD in the relevant subject.
- Prior experience in oral cancer/head & neck cancer/NCD research, preferably in screening or early detection programs (evidenced by publications).
- Experience working with Health & Wellness Centres (Ayushman Arogya Mandirs) or Community Health Officers (CHOs) (evidenced by publications).
- Experience in training, capacity building, IEC/BCC activities, and community-based implementation research.
- Hands-on experience in data collection, management, and analysis using SPSS, STATA, or R.
- Familiarity with public health surveillance systems, program monitoring, and reporting.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, policy briefs, and scientific manuscripts.
- Age limit: Not exceeding 40 years as of the walk-in interview/written test date.

- Applications will be verified, and eligible candidates will be called for a walk-in interview or written test.
- If more than 30 candidates apply, a written test may be conducted with qualifying marks: 35% for SC/ST and 40% for UR/OBC/EWS.
- Top 5 candidates (based on written test/interview performance) will be interviewed for the position.
- Final selection will be based on performance in the written test and interview (or interview alone if fewer than 30 candidates).
- Selected candidates must work for at least one month; failure to do so will result in forfeiture of emoluments.
- Engagement can be terminated with one month's notice from either side without assigning reasons.
