HPRCA Assistant Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026

- Recruitment for 312 Assistant Staff Nurse (ASN) positions under the Director, Medical Education & Research, Himachal Pradesh.
- Engagement is purely on a temporary basis for five years with a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs. 25,000/-.
- Open exclusively to female Himachali Bonafide candidates registered with the Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (HPNRC), Shimla.
- Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) or written screening test of 120 marks.
- Online applications accepted from 30 July 2026 to 29 August 2026 via the official HPRCA portal.

- Must be a female candidate.
- Must be a Himachali Bonafide resident.
- Must be registered with the Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (HPNRC), Shimla.
- Must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school/institution within Himachal Pradesh (exemption for Bonafide Himachalis).
- Must possess either B.Sc. Nursing (50% marks) or GNM (A Grade Nursing Diploma, 50% marks) from a recognized University/Institution.
- Minimum age: 21 years as of 01.01.2026.
- Maximum age: 45 years as of 01.01.2026.
- Age relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates, Himachal Pradesh Government employees, and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh.

- Selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) or written screening test of 120 marks (120 multiple-choice questions, 1 mark each).
- Duration: 1.5 hours.
- Syllabus includes subjects up to the prescribed qualification level, General Knowledge (including Himachal Pradesh), Current Affairs, Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English, and General Hindi (Matric standard).
- Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for General category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters.
- In case of fewer candidates meeting the qualifying marks, the Aayog may relax the criteria by up to 5%.
- Normalization of scores will be done using the Z-Score Method for multi-shift exams.
- Mode of exam: CBT or OMR, at the discretion of HPRCA.

General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and Wards of Freedom Fighters (WFF) as per reservation norms.

- Matriculation certificate for age proof.
- Degree/Diploma certificate(s) and mark sheets (B.Sc. Nursing/GNM).
- Provisional certificate(s) and mark sheets (if applicable).
- Experience certificate(s) (post-qualification, verified by Government Authority).
- Caste certificate (if applicable).
- BPL certificate (if applicable).
- Scanned passport-size photograph (not older than 1 month, JPG/JPEG/PNG format, max 1 MB).
- Scanned signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format, max 1 MB).

- Total application fee: Rs. 800/- (Rs. 100/- examination fee + Rs. 700/- processing fee).
- Fee payment mode: Online only (Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking).
- Correction fee during the four-day correction window: Rs. 100/-.
