GRID-INDIA Executive Trainee Recruitment 2026

- GRID-INDIA, a Miniratna-I and Schedule 'A' Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, invites applications for Executive Trainee positions in Electrical and Computer Science disciplines.
- The recruitment drive is based on GATE 2027 scores, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
- Selected candidates will undergo On-The-Job Training (OJT) for one year at a pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000/- (IDA), with additional allowances and benefits upon regularization.
- Candidates must execute a service bond of Rs. 5,00,000/- (General/OBC-NCL/EWS) or Rs. 2,50,000/- (SC/ST/PwBD) for a minimum service commitment of three years.
- The organization operates the National Load Despatch Centre and five Regional Load Despatch Centres, focusing on Power System Operations.

- Qualification: Full-time regular degree in B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/Integrated Dual Degree from a recognized university/institute.
- For Electrical Discipline: Minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in Electrical/Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/Power Systems Engineering/Power Engineering (Electrical).
- For Computer Science Discipline: Minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology.
- Final Year Candidates: Those expecting results by 14.08.2027 are eligible if they have secured 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in all semesters/years up to the pre-final examination.
- GATE 2027 Requirement: Candidates must qualify GATE 2027 in the corresponding paper: Electrical Engineering (EE) for Electrical and Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) for Computer Science.
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 28 years as of 31.07.2027 (born on or after 01.08.1999).
- Age Relaxation: OBC-NCL: 3 years, SC/ST: 5 years, PwBD: 10 years over and above category relaxation, Ex-Servicemen/Victims of riots: as per Government of India directives.
- Relaxation in Qualifying Marks: SC/ST/PwBD candidates have relaxation to pass marks for posts reserved for their respective categories.
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals of age 18 years or above are eligible.

- GATE 2027: Shortlisting based on normalized marks (out of 100) in the corresponding GATE 2027 paper.
- Group Discussion (GD): Mandatory, carries 3% weightage in the final selection process.
- Personal Interview (PI): Mandatory, carries 12% weightage in the final selection process.
- Behavioral Assessment: May be conducted as part of the interview process, but results are not qualifying and carry no marks.
- Final Selection: Based on 85% weightage for GATE 2027 marks, 3% for GD, and 12% for PI.
- Qualifying Percentage in Interview: 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwBD (for posts reserved for respective categories).
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must pass the Pre-Employment Medical Examination as per GRID-INDIA norms.
