CRPF Constable (Sports Quota) Recruitment 2026

- The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) invites online applications for 521 posts under the Sports Quota for meritorious male and female sportspersons across 22 sports disciplines.
- The recruitment includes Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) positions, with temporary service (likely to be made permanent) and All India service liability, including deployment abroad.

- The recruitment drive is open to candidates who have represented India, a State/UT, or their University/School in recognized sports competitions within the last two years (30 September 2024 to 30 September 2026).
- Selected candidates will be governed by the CRPF Act 1949 and Rules 1955 and must execute a Rs. 1,00,000 bond committing to serve the Force for a minimum of 3 years.

- Educational Qualification:
- Head Constable (GD): 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.
- Constable (GD): Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Sports Qualification (HC/GD): Must meet one of the following criteria (achievements between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026):
- Represented the country in a recognized International Competition/Meet with clearance from the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
- Represented a State/UT in the National Games/Championship organized by a National Sports Federation (with a medal or position up to 3rd place).
- Secured 1st or 2nd position in an individual event in Inter-University Tournaments (for team events, the team must have reached the finals) conducted by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/Inter University Sports Board.
- Won Gold or Silver medal in an individual/team event at Junior National level Games/Championship/Meet organized by a recognized National Sports Federation.
- Sports Qualification (CT/GD): Must meet one of the following criteria (achievements between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026):
- Represented a State in Senior/Junior National level Games/Championships organized by a recognized National Sports Federation.
- Represented a State School Team in National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All-India School Games Federation of India (SGFI), with a medal or position up to 3rd place.
- Represented a State/UT in Khelo India University Games/Khelo India Youth Games/Khelo India Winter Games, with a medal or position up to 3rd place.
- Represented their University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter University Sports Boards, in any sport/game.
- Age Limit: 18 to 23 years as of 1 August 2026 (cut-off date).
- Age Relaxation: Available for meritorious sportspersons as follows:
- Unreserved (UR): 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 8 years (5+3)
- SC/ST: 10 years (5+5)
- Ex-Servicemen (UR): 8 years (5+3) after deducting military service rendered from actual age
- Ex-Servicemen (OBC): 11 years (5+3+3) after deducting military service rendered from actual age
- Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST): 13 years (5+5+3) after deducting military service rendered from actual age
- Gender Eligibility: Both male and female candidates are eligible.

- Documentation: All candidates undergo document verification for age, education, sports achievement, domicile, and category. Failure to produce original documents results in elimination.
- Marking of Achievements: Marks are awarded based on the highest medal/position achieved during the eligible window (30 September 2024 to 30 September 2026). Sample marking tiers include:
- Olympic Games (Summer/Winter): Gold (100), Silver (96), Bronze (92), Participation (80)
- World Championship/World Cup: Gold (90), Silver (86), Bronze (82), Participation (70)
- National Games/Senior National Championship (Individual medal): Gold (30), Silver (26), Bronze (22), Participation (12)
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates must meet height, chest (for males), and weight standards. Height relaxations are available for certain categories (e.g., ST candidates from North-Eastern States, Garhwalis, etc.).
- Sports Trial Test: A purely qualifying test conducted by a Board of Officers. No marks are awarded; only pass/fail criteria apply. Candidates may undergo a Dope Test on the day of the trial.
- Detailed/Review Medical Examination (DME/RME): Conducted per Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for CAPFs and AR (MHA). Minimum distance vision required is 6/6 and 6/9 in both eyes without correction. Colour-blind candidates are not eligible.

- No Objection Certificate (Annexure-B) for candidates serving in Government/Semi-Government departments.
- Certificate for claiming height/chest relaxation (Annexure-I), if applicable.
- Four latest passport-size photographs matching the one submitted with the application form.
- Matriculation/10th class certificate for verification of Date of Birth.

- Male candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS: Rs. 100/-
- Female candidates: Fee exempted
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates: Fee exempted
- The fee is not refundable and not adjustable against any other recruitment process.
