Trade Apprentices (ITI) Recruitment 2026

- Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), Malpe, Karnataka, invites applications for Trade Apprentices (ITI) under the Apprenticeship Act 1961.
- This is a one-year apprenticeship training program for eligible ITI certificate holders.
- Only Karnataka domicile candidates are eligible to apply.
- No travel expenses or boarding/lodging will be provided during the training period.

- Education: Pass in 10th standard and ITI certificate in the designated trade (National Trade Certificate (NTC) required).
- Age: Minimum 18 years as of 14.10.2026.
- Physical Standards: Must meet the criteria as per Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and its amendments.
- Previous Apprenticeship: Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961 are not eligible.

- Shortlisting based on percentage of marks obtained in ITI qualification for the respective trade.
- In case of a tie in marks, seniority in age will be considered.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed via registered email and must appear for certificate verification at UCSL.
- Verification of original certificates (proof of age, qualification, caste, disability, etc.) is mandatory.
- Provisional selection will be based on merit/reservation and medical fitness after verification.
- Selected candidates must execute the Apprenticeship Contract Agreement through the [Apprenticeship India portal](https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).

All (No specific category restrictions mentioned, but domicile of Karnataka is mandatory).

- Printout of the signed application form (with unique registration number)
- Original certificates for proof of age, qualification, caste, disability (if applicable), etc.
- Self-attested copies of all certificates mentioned above
