Contractual Vacancies at Sainik School Satara

- Applications are invited for contractual positions at Sainik School Satara under the Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi.
- All posts are on a three-year contract with a one-month break after every 11 months of service, subject to performance review.
- The school reserves the right to modify or cancel vacancies due to administrative or policy reasons.
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.

- Medical Officer (Contractual) (1 vacancy, UR):
- Essential: MBBS degree, availability to attend school dispensary at least 5 days a week for 2+ hours daily, and reside within 5 km of the school for emergency availability.
- Desirable: Higher qualifications, experience in residential schools, and add-on courses in psychotherapy, ADHD, behavioral issues, and emotional intelligence.
- Counsellor (Contractual) (1 vacancy, UR):
- Essential: Graduate/Post Graduate in Psychology, Child Development, or Career Guidance & Counselling with at least 50% marks.
- Desirable: One year of counselling experience, psychotherapy training, psychometric assessment experience, and knowledge of local language.
- Riding Instructor (Contractual) (1 vacancy, UR):
- Essential: Matriculation, experience in horse management (stable maintenance, health, hygiene, first aid, equestrian sports), and ability to teach horse riding. Candidate must stay on campus.
- Desirable: Horse Riding Instructor Course completion and experience in residential schools or horse riding clubs.
- Quartermaster (Contractual) (1 vacancy, UR):
- Essential: BA/B.Com degree and at least 5 years of experience as UDC Stores or Quartermaster, or an ex-serviceman with at least 10 years of experience in handling and accounting of stores.
- Desirable: Quartermaster’s Course completion, basic computer knowledge, and Campus Security Course.
- Ward Boy (Contractual) (2 vacancies, UR):
- Essential: Matriculation or equivalent with fluent English conversation skills.
- Desirable: BA/B.Sc/B.Com degree, sports/art/music attainments, and experience in residential schools.
- PEM/PTI cum Matron (Contractual) (1 vacancy, UR - Reserved for Female):
- Essential: Matriculation or equivalent with fluent English conversation skills, and willingness to stay in the Girls Hostel.
- Desirable: Proficiency in games/sports, Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed. or D.P.Ed.), and experience in residential public schools.
- Nursing Sister (Contractual) (1 vacancy, UR - Reserved for Female):
- Essential: Nursing diploma/degree or ex-serviceman of Medical Assistant trade with at least 5 years of service after training. Candidate must stay on campus.
- Desirable: Higher qualifications, experience in residential public schools, and communication in English.

- Attested copies of educational qualification certificates.
- Experience certificate (if applicable).
- One self-addressed envelope (9”X4”) with Rs. 56/- postage stamps affixed.
- Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) for General and OBC categories, drawn in favor of ‘Principal, Sainik School Satara’ and payable at Satara. SC/ST candidates are exempt from this fee.
- Photocopy of ID (Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, or Voter ID).
- Attested copies of caste certificate (if applicable, for OBC/SC/ST categories) and NCL certificate for OBC candidates.
