Upgradation of Assistant Professor Grade-II to Grade-I

Upgradation of existing faculty members from Assistant Professor Grade-II (Pay Level-10) to Assistant Professor Grade-I (Pay Level-11) at NIT Rourkela.
Applications invited from eligible faculty members serving in the Institute under contract basis.
Selection based on statutory eligibility criteria as per NIT Statute Schedule 'E' and Ministry of Education guidelines.

Faculty members must have completed at least one year of service as Assistant Professor Grade-II in Pay Level-10.
Minimum educational qualification varies by department/school as per NIT Statute Schedule 'E':
- Engineering Departments: First Class in B.Tech./B.E. with Ph.D. in relevant discipline
- Industrial Design: First Class in B.Tech./B.E./B.Des. with Ph.D. in relevant discipline
- Planning and Architecture: First Class in M.Arch./M.Plan.
- Science Departments: First Class in Master’s Degree with Ph.D. in relevant discipline
- Humanities and Social Sciences: First Class in Master’s Degree with Ph.D. in relevant discipline
- School of Management: First Class in MBA/M.Tech./M.Sc./LLM or equivalent with Ph.D. in relevant discipline

Applications will be reviewed based on eligibility criteria and statutory requirements.
No written test or interview will be conducted for upgradation.
Selection will be based on fulfillment of eligibility conditions and service tenure criteria.
Final selection will be subject to approval by the competent authority.
