- Qualification: ME/M.Tech/MS or equivalent in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering (GATE qualification not mandatory).
- OR: BE/B.Tech/BS or equivalent 4-year degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering with GATE score (mandatory only if degree is from outside IITs, CFTIs, or NIRF-ranked institutes ≤25).
- Minimum Marks: 60% or CGPA of 6.5/10 in qualifying exam.
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of 09/10/2026 (relaxation possible as per DST rules).
- Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Postgraduate in Professional Courses selected via CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship), GATE, or National-level exams (DST, DBT, DAE, etc.).
