- Openings in 20 departments: Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Industrial and Management Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space Science and Astronomy, Sustainable Energy Engineering, Kotak School of Sustainability, and Wadhwani School of AI & Intelligent Systems (WSAIS).
- Interdisciplinary programs in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science also participate.
- Appointments made in relevant departments for interdisciplinary programs.
- Research initiation grant of up to ₹25 lakhs and supplementary grant permitted as per Institute norms.
- Additional top-up salary of ₹25,000/month for first three years for newly joined faculty.
- Eligibility for Young Faculty Fellowship (top-up ₹15,000/month for 3 years) and Faculty Chair positions (top-up ₹25,000/month for 3 years) based on performance.
- Travel reimbursement for joining: ₹1,50,000 for international travel (faculty + dependents), domestic travel as per government rules.
- Housing provided with free high-speed internet.
- Candidates called for interview receive economy air/train fare (within India) and taxi fare from Lucknow airport to IITK.

- Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. with a first-class or equivalent in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record in all preceding degrees.
- Fresh Ph.D. holders: Appointment on contract basis for the first three years, with potential for regularization thereafter.
- Post-PhD experience: Regular appointment possible for candidates with three or more years of teaching/research/industrial experience.
- Reservations: Follows Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019, for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and EWS categories.
- Category-wise vacancies: Available for reserved categories only under this special drive.
- Caste/Category/Disabilities Certificate: Must be submitted in the prescribed format by the Government of India.

- Step 1: Faculty members in the concerned specialization recommend suitable candidates.
- Step 2: Recommended candidates called for a seminar.
- Step 3: Reference letters sought from referees identified post-seminar.
- Step 4: Department Faculty Advisory Committee (DFAC) shortlists candidates based on application, faculty input, seminar, and referee comments.
- Step 5: Shortlisted candidates presented to the Institute Faculty Advisory Committee (IFAC) and called for an interview.

SC, ST, OBC, PwD, EWS

- Caste/Category/Disabilities Certificate (prescribed format by Government of India).
- Ph.D. degree certificate and mark sheets.
- Proof of teaching/research/industrial experience (if applicable).
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from employer for candidates currently employed in Government/Semi-Government organizations.
- All relevant certificates and documentary proof as specified in the application form.
