- M.Tech./M.E./M.S. or equivalent in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or Engineering Physics.
- Candidates with M.Tech./M.E./M.S. must have qualified GATE once.
- B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent in the same fields with a valid GATE score.
- M.Sc. in Materials Science, Physics, Nanoscience and Technology with valid GATE qualification, UGC/CSIR-JRF qualification, or equivalent fellowship.
- Strong foundation in physical metallurgy, thermodynamics, and mechanical behavior.
- Understanding of phase transformations, diffusion phenomena, microstructure-property relationships, and strengthening mechanisms in metallic systems.
- Experience in materials characterization techniques and/or mechanical property evaluation.
- Proficiency in scientific computing tools, Thermo-Calc, and DICTRA is desirable.
