- Recruitment for Assistant Professor (College Cadre) Anthropology under the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh.
- Job Trainee position with fixed monthly emoluments of Rs. 35,000.

- Educational Qualification: Must hold a Master’s degree in Anthropology with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grading) from a recognized Indian university. Equivalent foreign degrees are also acceptable.
- Minimum Eligibility Test: Must have qualified UGC NET, CSIR NET, SLET, or SET (or equivalent test accredited by the State Public Service Commission).
- Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates with a Ph.D. degree may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET if they meet the following conditions:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode.
- Ph.D. thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
- At least two research papers published (including one in a refereed journal) based on Ph.D. work.
- At least two conference/seminar presentations based on Ph.D. work.
- Certified by the competent university authority.
- Relaxation in Master’s Degree Marks: SC, ST, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, and Physically/Visually Handicapped candidates get a relaxation from 55% to 50%.
- Relaxation for Pre-1991 Master’s Degree Holders: SC, ST, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, and Physically/Visually Handicapped candidates with Master’s degrees before September 1991 also get a relaxation from 55% to 50%.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of the customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh is desirable.

- Paper I (Objective Screening Test): Computer-Based Test (CBT) or offline screening test with 100 marks and 1-hour duration.
- General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh: 30 marks
- General Knowledge of National and International Affairs: 30 marks
- Hindi Language: 20 marks
- English Language: 20 marks
- Paper II (Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test): Descriptive test with 120 marks and 3-hour duration. Detailed syllabus will be uploaded separately on the official website.
- Document Verification: Original documents must be produced during verification.
- Personality Test: Conducted at the HPPSC office in Shimla with 30 marks.
- Final Ranking: Determined using marks from the Subject Aptitude Test and Personality Test.
