- Must be a citizen of India or meet eligibility as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
- Educational qualification: Passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent, plus a one-year Sanitary Inspector Diploma or ITI Health Sanitary Inspector Certificate.
- Basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed by Gujarat Government rules.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi (or both) is required.
- Candidates without a basic computer knowledge certificate at the time of application must submit proof of passing a basic computer test before appointment.
