- Candidates must possess a B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. with Ph.D. in a relevant branch with first-class or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Alternatively, candidates with a first-class B.E./B.Tech. in a relevant branch and a Ph.D. in the same branch are eligible.
- Candidates with an M.Sc. in a relevant branch with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) and cleared NET/UGC/CSIR/SLET/SET are also eligible.
- Ph.D. holders as per UGC Ph.D. regulations 2009 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET requirements.
