Project Associate Level-II Vacancy at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru

- CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, is hiring for a Project Associate Level-II position under the project titled ‘Impact of a cost-effective, nutritionally optimized supplement on body composition and functional measures: A multicentric randomized-control trial among older adults at risk of malnutrition/malnourished (I-CARE Study)’ with project number GAP000657.
- The engagement is initially for a period until February 2027, extendable up to February 2028 based on project requirements or until the project ends, whichever is earlier.
- This is a temporary contractual position and is co-terminus with the project term, with a maximum total engagement period of 6 years across different CSIR projects.
- The selected candidate will be based at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, Karnataka.

- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Food Science and Technology/Nutrition or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in industrial, academic institutions, or science & technology organizations.
- Desirable Qualification/Experience: Experience in product development and laboratory analysis techniques is preferred.
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 35 years as of 30.09.2026 (relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, 3 years for OBC candidates).
- Eligibility Note: Only candidates who have declared their results for the essential qualification are eligible. Result-awaited or final-semester appearing candidates are not eligible.
- Experience Calculation: Experience must be counted after acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications.
- CSIR Project Staff Tenure: Candidates who have already served 6 years or more as Project Staff in any CSIR Lab/Institute are not eligible.
- Current CSIR Employees: If already working in CSIR/CSIR-CFTRI, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current Principal Investigator (PI) is mandatory.
- Resignation Requirement: If selected, the candidate must submit a No Dues Certificate and resign from the previous project before engagement begins.

- Shortlisting of candidates will be done by a designated committee based on current requirements and qualifications.
- Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the CSIR-CFTRI website for the interview.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
- Selection will be based on interview performance and availability of funds under the project.
