- Three vacancies are available: Faculty (Marine Chief Engineer), Faculty (Master Mariner - Foreign Going), and Faculty (Electro Technical Officer).

• Faculty (Marine Chief Engineer): ['- Essential: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.', '- Essential: Certificate of Competency (COC) as Marine Engineer Officer Class I (MEO Class I) – Unlimited Horse Power, issued by DGMA, Government of India.', '- Essential: Must have sailed as Chief Engineer on Indian or foreign-going ships.', '- Desirable: Teaching experience in DG Shipping (DGS) approved institutes.', '- Desirable: Sailing experience on Gas Tankers as Chief Engineer/Second Engineer with DC endorsement.']
• Faculty (Master Mariner - Foreign Going): ['- Essential: Certificate of Competency as Master Mariner (Foreign Going), issued by DGMA, Government of India.', '- Essential: Must have sailed as Master Mariner on foreign-going tanker ships.', '- Desirable: Certification in Vertical Integration Course for Trainers (VICT) OR Training for Trainers and Assessors (TOTA) AND Assessment, Examination & Certification of Seafarers (AECS).', '- Desirable: Teaching experience in DGS approved institutes.', '- Desirable: Sailing experience on Oil Tankers and Gas Tankers as Master or Chief Officer.']
• Faculty (Electro Technical Officer): ['- Essential: Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized university.', '- Essential: Must have sailed as Electrical Officer on foreign-going ships.', '- Desirable: Certification in Vertical Integration Course on Training (VICT) OR Training for Trainers and Assessors (TOTA) course prior to 1st October 2018 conducted by DGS approved Institutes.']
- Age Limit: Upper age limit of 65 years as of 01 October 2026 (i.e., applicants must be born on or after 02 October 1961).
- Reservations: Government of India directives on reservation apply, including provisions for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) with a minimum disability of 40%.
- Equivalency: Applicants with equivalent qualifications must submit an equivalency certificate issued by the competent authority.

- Method: Personal Interview (out of 100 marks) to be held at CSL, Kochi.
- Shortlisting: CSL reserves the right to scrutinize applications and shortlist candidates based on uploaded certificates (educational qualifications, experience, etc.).
- Certificate Verification: Original certificates must be produced at the time of verification for age, educational qualification, experience, reservation, and medical fitness.
- Rank List: Candidates will be ranked based on interview marks. In case of ties, seniority in age will be considered.
