Apprentice Vacancies in Civil Engineering

- Cochin Port Authority, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, invites applications for Apprentice positions under the Apprentice Act, 1961.
- The recruitment is exclusively for training in Cochin Port.
- Only candidates who are domicile of Kerala shall be considered for selection.

- Must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as of 01-09-2026.
- Candidates must not have completed 3 years after passing the qualifying examination as of the closing date of applications.
- Candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or are pursuing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentice Act, 1961, are not eligible.
- Candidates with one year or more of training/job experience after attaining the prescribed qualification are ineligible.

- Shortlisting will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- In case of a tie in marks, seniority in passing year will be considered. If the passing year is identical, the candidate senior in age will be preferred.
- Certificate verification will be conducted for shortlisted candidates. Original certificates must be produced for age, qualification, percentage of marks, caste, disability (if any), etc.
- Provisional selection will be based on merit/reservation after certificate verification and medical fitness confirmation.

- Original certificates for proof of age, qualification, percentage of marks, caste, disability (if any).
- Self-attested copies of all the above certificates.
- Certificate of Medical Fitness (obtained only from a Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking).
