CMWSSB Graduate and Technician Diploma Apprentice Recruitment 2026

- Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) invites online applications for 108 apprenticeship training positions under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
- Open to Engineering Graduates (B.E./B.Tech.) and Diploma holders in relevant disciplines.
- Apprenticeship training will be conducted for one year under the Apprenticeship Amendment Act, 1973.
- Training stipend ranges from Rs. 10,900 to Rs. 12,300 per month depending on the category.
- No guarantee of regular employment after completion of training; apprenticeship is purely for skill development.

- Qualification:
Graduate Apprentice: Full-time Degree in Engineering/Technology from a statutory university, institution empowered by Parliament, or a professional body recognized by the Central/State Government.
Technician Diploma Apprentice: Full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a State Council/Board of Technical Education, university, or institution recognized by the Central/State Government.
- Passing Year: Must have completed the qualification in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026.
- State Eligibility: Candidate must be a permanent resident of Tamil Nadu.
- Full-Time Qualification: Must hold a full-time degree/diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
- NATS Registration: Must be registered on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in).
- Ineligible Candidates:
Those who have already completed NATS/NAPS apprenticeship training.
Candidates currently undergoing NATS/NAPS apprenticeship training.
Applicants with one year or more of work experience.
Non-Tamil Nadu residents.
* Candidates who completed their qualification before 2022.

- Shortlisting: Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed Degree/Diploma qualification.
- Notification: Shortlisted candidates will be informed via their registered email address.
- Certificate Verification: Selected candidates must attend certificate verification at CMWSSB, Chennai.
- No Written Examination or Interview: Selection is purely merit-based and does not include a written test or interview.

- Graduate Apprentice: Provisional certificate or consolidated mark sheet of the Degree.
- Technician Diploma Apprentice: Provisional certificate or consolidated mark sheet of the Diploma.
- Percentage of Marks: Must enter the qualification percentage in the format ‘% of Marks/CGPA x 10’ on the NATS portal.
- Community Certificate: If applicable (e.g., SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD).
- OBC-NCL Certificate: For candidates claiming OBC-Non-Creamy Layer reservation.
- Disability Certificate: For PwD candidates.
