- Captain Williamson Sangma State University (CWSSU), Meghalaya, has announced 149 teaching vacancies across 18 departments for its Tura and Shillong campuses.
- Vacancies are distributed as 18 Professor posts, 46 Associate Professor posts, and 85 Assistant Professor posts.

• Professor: ['- Must be an eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned subject.', '- Minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.', '- Total Research Score of 120 as per UGC Regulations 2018.', '- Minimum of 10 years’ teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or equivalent research experience.']
• Associate Professor: ['- Must have a Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject.', '- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade point scale) in the concerned subject.', '- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in teaching or research in an academic/research post equivalent to Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution.', '- Minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.', '- Total Research Score of 75 as per UGC Regulations 2018.']
• Assistant Professor: ['- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade point scale) in the concerned subject, from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.', '- Relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50%) for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.', '- Must have cleared NET/CSIR-NET conducted by UGC-CSIR, or SET-NE, in the concerned subject.', '- Exemption from NET/SLET/SET for candidates with a Ph.D. degree awarded under UGC Regulations 2009/2016.']

- Selection comprises two stages: shortlisting and personal interview.
- Shortlisting is based on academic/research scores as per UGC Regulations 2018.
- Candidates are called for interview in the ratio of 1:3 for Assistant Professor, and 1:5 for Associate Professor and Professor, relative to the number of vacancies.
- Final selection is based solely on performance in the Personal Interview.
