Project Assistant (Temporary) - CMRG Funded Research Project

Engagement for a temporary Project Assistant position under the Chief Ministers Research Grant (CMRG) to work on the project titled 'Sustainable Autonomous Multi-Robot Cleaning System to curtail Hospital Acquired Infection'.
Position is based at the Department of Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai.
Role involves research and development in robotics, automation, and embedded systems for healthcare applications.
Project duration: Scheduled to end on 15.01.2028.
Assistantship is purely temporary and subject to renewal based on CMRG sanction.

Candidates with UG (B.E./B.Tech.) or PG (M.E./M.Tech.) degrees in specified engineering disciplines are eligible.
For UG: Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, Robotics and Automation, Mechatronics, Aeronautical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Instrumentation, Information Technology, or Computer Science and Engineering.
For PG: Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering and Management, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Manufacturing Systems Management, Engineering Design, Robotics, Mechatronics, Control and Automation, Electronics and Communication, Embedded Systems and Technology, Control and Instrumentation, VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or Computer Science and Engineering.
Strong programming skills in Python/C++ are mandatory.
Knowledge of embedded systems is required.
Desirable skills include experience in sensor integration (LiDAR, cameras), navigation algorithms, image processing, and machine learning for object/area recognition.
