- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Basic knowledge of Computer Applications as per Gujarat government rules.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.
- Eligible disciplines include Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Highway Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Engineering, and related specializations (38 disciplines listed in the official notification).
- Minimum age: 18 years; Maximum age: 35 years as on 10 August 2026.
- Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories, women, PWD candidates, and ex-servicemen as per government norms.

- Selection based on a single-stage objective MCQ competitive examination (CBRT/OMR).
- Exam divided into two parts: Part-A (90 marks) and Part-B (120 marks).
- Part-A covers Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension.
- Part-B focuses on Civil Engineering subject-related questions.
- Total duration: 3 hours (180 minutes) for both parts combined.
- Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying standard: 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B.
- Candidates who qualify will be called for document verification (roughly twice the number of vacancies per category).
- Final merit-based selection list and waiting list will be published after document verification.
