- Drafting, vetting, and filing of legal documents including affidavits, counter affidavits, replies, rejoinders, and petitions before Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts, and Tribunals.
- Providing legal opinions on matters related to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960, and allied legal procedures.
- Coordinating with government legal authorities, including Central Government Standing Counsels and Senior Advocates.
- Monitoring litigation progress and ensuring compliance with court orders and directions.
- Advising the Board on legal implications of policy decisions, administrative actions, and animal welfare laws.
- Assisting in drafting, reviewing, and amending Acts, Rules, Regulations, SOPs, and policies related to animal welfare.
- Providing legal support for recognition, renewal, suspension, or cancellation of Animal Welfare Organizations (AWOs).
- Preparing legal briefs for Board meetings and stakeholder consultations.
- Maintaining an updated repository of important judgments and legal matters.
- Conducting orientation programs and legal awareness sessions on the PCA Act and its rules.
- Handling RTI matters, procurement issues, and service-related legal queries.
- Ensuring confidentiality and non-disclosure of sensitive information as per legal and contractual obligations.

- Master's degree in Law (LLM) from a recognized university/college.
- Must be registered as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council under the Advocates Act, 1961.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in legal matters related to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960, and allied legal procedures.
- Experience in government offices/autonomous bodies as Legal Advisor, Legal Consultant, or Legal Assistant in animal welfare laws.
- Experience in appearing before District Courts, High Courts, and Supreme Courts in government matters.
- Proficiency in English with strong drafting skills for affidavits, legal notices, and other legal documents.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, and the LIMBS portal.
